Barb Johns

I draw pleasure from taking a raw fiber through all of its stages and creating a finished product. Equally enjoyable for me is researching historical tools and handwork techniques. My love of history and historical women’s arts draws me to recreate these techniques and share this passion with others. As a gardener and historian, I gravitate to native, natural dyes. I am drawn to teaching and I find ways to bring spinning and fiber arts to the general public, from toddlers to senior citizens.
